Gotty from TSS just shot over this interesting interview with Killer Mike on Atlanta’s WREK 91.1. He explains his position on Ice-T vs. Soulja Boy and everything that dispute represents, his new song and video and Lil Wayne’s best week ever.
Everyone here knows I’m a stickler for simplicity. Mark Gonzales does another collaboration with Adidas, this time with the Adidas Doley sneaker. With rumors of this summer being the hottest yet, this is the perfect sneaker to maintain your “cool” in the insane temperatures. These are available now over @ Slam Jam, and I’m sure you’ll be able to find them at your local boutique soon!
This was a record I did originally for the album but I felt that it didn’t fit the overall theme of it. Nevertheless, this song has become one of my favorites and it’s strictly for the people who love innovative and creative rap. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Much love.
Notable producer and Reasonable Doubt contributor speaks on Ice-T vs. SB, 90’s Babies vs. Old Heads, says Camp Lo was more lyrically creative than Jay-Z and introduces Ricky Ruckus.
J*Davey drops their double EP The Beauty In Distortion/The Land of Lost today on Interdependent Media. The homey Brub recently caught up to them to talk music, label bullcrap, alcohol and the future. Click here to check out the interview. Also, here’s a clip of the duo performing at The Key Club a few weeks ago, courtesy of Okayplayer TV:
Nas’ new album appears to be hitting the internet today, track by track. Coincidence??? Hmm…
I’m not listening to anything else until there’s a full copy available, but head over to Shake’s spot to catch the leak so far. In the meantime, NY Mag also has a great new feature on Mr. Jones and Untitled. Peep that.
More footage of Blu & Ex’s show last month at the Henry Fonda Theatre. Check them out rocking three of the most memorable songs from the classic Below The Heavens LP. Courtesy of the homey Ben @ Alwayshustle.
Looks like “someone” is leaking this new Nas album which isn’t really surprising at all, the whole album should be fully leaked later on this week so keep an eye out I guess. In any case, here’s a new one from the highly anticipated “Nig*er” album called Testify produced by Dr. Dre’s right hand man Mark Batson.
Mickey Factz talks about the collaboration between himself, Drake and Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes and how Overdose On Life came to be. He also talks about how he felt he had to step up his verse 10 fold after he heard Drake’s verse, which appears first on the song.
Just in time for summer, TiRon drops another banger for you to turn up in ya whip. Soon to be featured on 2DopeBoyz West Coast Mixtape and also our very own project “Your New Favorite Mixtape“! Be sure to keep a watchful ear out for this cat, he’s definitely on the creep upwards.
This song is from Snoop’s last, and in my opinion BETTER, album “Blue Carpet Treatment”. It looks like the artists behind Aaron McGruder’s Boondocks series did the animation for this video. With the exception of the mouth movement not matching up with the lyrics, the video is pretty FRESH! I’m unsure whether this was fan made, or actually official but just wasn’t released. Either way, with the way the industry is moving, more and more artists are turning to the average joe to make their music videos. Give is a go!
