Well you knew it was gonna happen eventually. Nas’ new album Untitled is all over the damn nets, so bada bing. I still plan on coppin because Nas is one of my favorite emcees, but I’d be lying if I said I didnt plan on sampling it during this Indepence Day weekend. Album still drops July 15, 2 days after my B Day. So if you wanna paypal some cash gift, feel free.
Mr. Jones give his thoughts on the Untitled “leak”. I still haven’t heard it yet - waiting to get off work - but it shall be spun for the entire long weekend.
We recently sat down with Jenesis Magazine to talk about songwriting, our inspirations and the very blog that you are reading right now. Click here to check it out on the Jenesis site - it’s a digital magazine, so head to page 55 to read the interview. It’s kinda hard to read, so I’ve uploaded it too, and you can peep it on the links below:
Clae has been a company on the come up for sometime now with their active casual collection. They have set a standard of having smooth sleek designs with some very simple colorways. Real smooth **** all around. High Snob has posted some new pics of the collection, and I have borrowed said pics. Peep em on out after the jump.
More music from Untitled keeps leaking. On this new joint, Nas gives a fair and balanced look at America’s favorite news network. Produced by Stic.Man from deadprez.
Little Brother’s Phonte is an extremely busy man right now. Here’s the latest edition of “Gordron Gartrell Radio,” his weekly podcast with DJ Brainchild. In this episode, Phonte uncovers two new taped conversations that have leaked in the wake of the 50 Cent/Young Buck beef, and counts down the Top 10 Greatest Lite Brites of All Time:

Tay is also prepping his upcoming release with producer Zo!, who produced “When Everything Is New” from LB’s Get Back. This project will see Phonte and Zo! recreating and adding their touch to classic 1980s pop songs. The Zo! and Tigallo Love the 80s EP will be available in early July as a limited edition CD, with only 2,500 copies pressed. Peep the podcast and a couple of joints from the EP below.
Today’s a wonderful day to be a Nas fan. In addition to “Sly Fox” leaking earlier, here we have a CD quality version of “Fried Chicken,” without Mark Ronson talking all over it. Props to Shake for the audio. Above is the cover for Untitled, and the tracklist/production credits are below. It’s in stores July 15th. I hear they shot the video for “Hero” yesterday as well.

New clip for the first single from Clifford’s next album Paper Trail. Song produced by Danja Handz. This is one of my favorite songs of the year so far - download it below as well. In Vegas for the weekend (whatup Shake?), so posting’s gonna be kinda light til Monday.
Jigga is currently in Europe touring and recently stopped by the Jonathan Rose show in the UK for this brilliant interview. Hella entertaining. Peep it.
This is the song from the beginning of the “Be A ****** Too” video, which is below again for your reference. I have a feeling neither of these will be on the album, which kinda sucks. A lot.
An alternate theory is that this is the Jay Electronica produced intro for the album. Time will tell.
Once again, this track bangs. Produced by LA’s own 1500 or Nothin’. You can grab this song and the “Game’s Pain” remix below too. The remix is pretty fresh - a few reminiscent verses from dope rappers (and Fat Joe) over the classic “Juicy” drums. Game’s album L.A.X. drops on August 26th.
The Game feat. Travis Barker - “Dope Boys” (produced by 1500 or Nothin’)
The Game feat. Keyshia Cole, Jadakiss, Bun B, Pusha T, Fat Joe, Young Buck & Queen Latifah - “Game’s Pain (remix)“
The Cool Kids are probably the hardest working kids I know. They just released their debut album The Bake Sale a little while ago and now they’re about to drop another mixtape called That’s Stupid hosted by Power 106’s Mondo Fresco. Not to mention they’re on tour in Finland, 24 shows in 30 days! They’re setting a nice example for all of you artists trying to come up, quit ******g around and get to work!

Pacific Division was backstage chillin with Ice T before they rocked their show and they ended up getting into a discussion about the growth of hip hop and rhyming. Of course the Soulja Boy incident snuck its way into the conversation.
Have you ever heard about Net Neutrality? If you haven’t, then you should definitely watch this because the future of the internet is at stake. Now a lot of you are wondering why this is such a big issue or why you should even pay attention to this post, it’s primarily due to the fact that the freedom the internet allows will eventually be shut down and telephone companies such as AT&T and Verizon will be in charge of its content and how it operates. Imagine if the internet operated the same way that TV and radio does…same bullshit, same watered down culture. Another reason this is imporant is because WE SHOULD BE IN CONTROL OF THE INFORMATION WE RECEIVE! If they take the internet away then they could potentially control us with our fear of the unknown. Seriously…watch this.
If freedom is just a state of mind, what happens when your state of mind is in control?
